Tripura State Pharmacy Council is a Statutory Body constituted by Government of Tripura on 24th August 1993 under the Department of Health & Family Welfare. The objective of the council is to regulate the profession and practice of Pharmacy in the State of Tripura. The council is dynamic and working tirelessly with its objectives.
There is a paradigm shift from the traditional compounding and dispensing of medication to a more professional advisory and patient health care. Today Pharmacists have multifaceted functions in the society extending from manufacturing of quality medicines to the delivery of Pharmaceutical Care to the patients. To achieve excellence in Pharmaceutical Care, Pharmacist need to strive constantly to upgrade their knowledge and skill and the State Pharmacy Council is committed to extend all sorts of efforts to ensure highest level of standards of professional conduct and education, training and competence among pharmacists.
Tripura State Pharmacy Council is responsible for granting registration to the eligible Pharmacist & renewals of such registration of the pharmacists possessing requisite qualification. In Tripura we have around 3400 qualified pharmacist working in different health sectors & organizations and we are trying to introduce ‘Online Registration’ for the Pharmacists of our state through our web portal. Among various projects, implementation of ‘Pharmacy Practice Regulation -2015’ is in the pipeline.
Tripura State Pharmacy Council is a dynamic organization and I am grateful to be a part of this organization. I am along with my team looking forward to the success in satisfying our responsibilities and constantly seeking new road maps for achieving excellence in the profession and practice of Pharmacy in the State of Tripura.
